Playback theatre is applied theatre. This form allows us to interact with the audience and gives them another perspective of their story. It gives the youth an opportunity to voice out their thoughts and stories and see it being played back to them. As they see it, they could realize something they didn’t before. Thus applied theatre is very powerful in that aspect.​



Playback Theatre also helps to build bonds with all the participants, creating a community, serving as a social group that can help these youths whenever they need social or emotional support.
