In Beyond Theatre, our aim is to help under-privileged youths in divorce families.  We want to build a better youth community for them, allowing them to grow into healthy adults.  Hence, we have various programmes that can help to create a better community for these youths

Our debut project: Bridging Beyond is a dual programme that seeks to help youths struggling in a divorced family.

Overview of our programmes

In Project Lost, youths facing negative effects of being in a divorced family are given a chance to express their stories.

Through the use of playback and process drama, we allow youths to explore more about their problems and issues. Giving them a platform to find alternatives and explore ways to solve their problems.

Targeted Participants: Youths aged between 12 - 18 years old

Duration of workshop: 15 sessions in 4 months

Project Lost

For Youths

Project Finding is an applied theatre performance that is aimed at the custodial parents of youths.  At the same time giving them a platform for the exploration of solutions.

In Project Finding, the use of Playback Forum Theatre will help parents to seek alternatives on how to communicate effectively with their children.

Through the use of the Playback Forum Theatre, it gives these parents a chance to empathize with the struggles their child/children had face.

There will be 1 performance for every 4 months.  Each performance would touch on a certain theme that allows the custodial parents to explore ways on how to  communicate more effectively with their children.  Our targeted participants are Low-SES custodial parents.
